Despite having planned this outfit before the 2018 World Cup finale, this turned out to be a typical red, white and blue outfit to match the winners! Give me a baguette/croissant and I’m good to go. I’d add a beret if I were to have one to be honest, as blue and white stripes paired with a red bandana around the neck is typical French according to cartoons (although I do think French women are way more sophisticated than that).
My obsession with stripes is still going strong and I still believe it’s a wardrobe staple especially during summer paired with white jeans (also a fashion staple), or anything really as I view it as a neutral by now.
To add a pop of colour to an otherwise basic outfit, I chose a red bandana and a lip to match. I love how colourful accessories can transform an entire outfit regardless of their size. Instead of tying the bandana around the neck, one can also tie it to their bag, use it as a belt or even a turban! I love how versatile and fun it is to play with.
For coverage, I chose my long grey cardigan to match the turban, all whilst tying well with the brown belt and sandals.
