Buying pricey basic versatile pieces considered staples by most is what I usually aim for, but I’m not always successful. Every now and again, a beautiful ‘loud’ piece would catch my eye and I’d convince myself I’d wear it more than often, but as you may have guessed, I actually don’t. Therefore, I chose to do some effort by trying to dig out old pieces that I don’t wear that often for whatever reason and either force myself to style it or donate it.
One of the pieces I’ve only worn twice before is this beautiful orange top with a cape that I aboslutely adore. This top has been hanging in my closet for about three years and would only be worn rarely. This time, I forced myself to style it in an unconventional way, if you may, by layering it on top of an orange rollneck. Luckily, it wasn’t that hot and I could actually get away with it.
Choosing the right accessorries was tricky, but I eventually opted for matching earrings, a beige turban and brown sandals. Earthy tones go well together, and the light denim makes the outfit look more summer appropriate. The white box bag is literal perfection to me, so I would wear it regardless of how it looked with the rest of the clothes, thank God it actually worked.
