Ramadan look week 3

As of recently, I’ve been on the hunt for a good long kimono/cardigan/abaya to throw on during summer with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. Therefore, I’ve been checking out several accounts online and in doing so, I found this lovely page by a fellow Moroccan that’s even lovelier than her designs.  I loved the simplicity of her pieces, and instantly had to order one to be featured on the blog and worn to death during the upcoming weeks.

It’s always nice to meet new ladies that are running their own business at such a young age, and that are actually lovely to do business with and make you feel good. Meryem, the owner of Trendy Corner, actually came with a mutual friend to an iftar I had arranged with old friends without me even knowing it was her behind the page I’ve literally contacted a couple of days ago, so it was hilarious to find that out! I swear the world is so small it leaves me speechless sometimes.

Anyhow, the gorgeous colour of this open abaya (or beach cover-up, you can seriously wear it however you want) was what drew me at first, and its versatility made me instantly want it. I absolutely love it during Ramadan as well, as it’s quite modern in its design yet simple enough to style in several ways. You can pair it wih fancy heels for a night out, or with flats like I did. The fabric is very light making it summer appropriate, and the length gives me just the right coverage I like without it being too bulky or long, because we all know I’m in flats 90% of the time, so there was no way I would get a long piece for every day use. These sandals added to my level of comfort by being very soft and easy to walk on. I think these may be one of my favourite purchases this summer that I’ll no doubt be wearing to death.
