#MoroccanMonday look 81

As Autumn approaches, it’s time to look into the perfect outfits for this transitional season – although it’s still 30 degrees over here-.

As much as I dislike wearing pieces that make my thighs rub together such as maxi skirts and dresses, I couldn’t squeeze into a pair of jeans in this heat even if I wanted to. Therefore, I opted for my floaty maxi dress and wore a light jumper over it. The key to perfect layering is using light and airy pieces to keep you from melting.

Although I’m wearing four pieces (if you add my vest/tank top) on top of each other, it’s not too hot at all. The white sleeveless button-down was not a necessity, but I wanted to add some detail to the look and a bit of colour on the collar by using a pair of earrings to keep everything in place.

I loved the Victoria Beckham F/W 2017 fashion show, especially this beautiful monochromatic look that I was so inspired by but couldn’t find the right pieces to pull this off last winter. However, I finally went for it and I actually like the outcome. Despite the saying of “if you can’t match it, clash it”, monochromatic looks are here to save the day when you can’t find the exact same colour of certain pieces such as myself. I’m used to accentuating my waist to give the illusion of longer legs, but leaving everything so breezy and relaxed has its own charm. Fashion is meant to be fun and experimental after all, so don’t be afraid to take risks and try out new things every once in a while.
