Happy Islamic new year! May you and your loved ones be blessed with joy and happiness ensha’Allah.
I didn’t think I would miss this so much but it feels so amazing to be back! I’ve been sick for two weeks and missed last week’s #MoroccanMonday post. It made me feel so bad especially because I’ve never missed one ever since I’ve started this blog back in January.
This week’s post is a simple, grungy, biker-chic look I’d say. I love how the weather allows biker jackets again because I certainly missed wearing mine. Although it wasn’t too cold (thus the sandals), the jacket didn’t make me suffocate because I tried to wear as little as possible underneath it.
Whenever I wear this blouse, I have to either wear heels to make me look a bit taller, whittle my waistline with a belt or wear a jacket over it to keep me from looking like a potato or a pregnant teen-not that I’m a teen but I was told I looked like one-.
The whole outfit was kept quite simple to focus on the stacked statement necklaces that I adore. I know statement necklaces have been out of trend for a while now and chokers stepped in, but I can’t help but be drawn to big silver necklaces whenever I see them, especially when they look so traditional. I bought the one on top in the Medina here in Morocco for about 60 or 70 MAD (+/- 6 EUR) which is nothing compared to the second one I got from a boutique for 300 MAD (+/- 30 EUR). It goes to show that you can find dupes for everything really as long as you put some effort into it.
