After so many years of all black everything, I try to steer clear from that colour to challenge myself and to avoid getting sucked into obsessing over it again. However, we’re not all strong-willed when it comes to our fashion choices, so after checking out the Relief Creation Instagram page, I found myself sucked into this beautiful kimono/abaya and thought it would be the perfect piece for Ramadan.
As I said, styling a black look is not really challenging unless you force yourself to combine it with other colours. Luckily, this piece already did half the work for me by having this beautiful deep emerald green lining. The exact green is hard to get in a scarf, my I chose the closest thing as opposed to going the old boring route by picking black.
The feel of the fabric is very light, airy and quite expensive. Although the cut requires constant holding and attention, it’s extremely forgiving regardless of one’s shape. The length is also perfect and I’m short so that was a pleasant surprise.
